Functional Analysis Report – Advanced
Chipworks' Functional Analysis reports focus on a device's floor plan and block level functionality, to give you an architectural understanding of the die. This knowledge, in conjunction with basic process information, can then be used as a benchmarking tool to perform a high level cost analysis.
The advanced functional analysis provides an in-depth functional analysis including board level identification of devices, in-depth discussion of the architecture of analog blocks not identified by public documentation, and I/O analysis.
Report contents include everything in the standard format plus:
- Identification of devices on board (where applicable)
- Discussion and analysis of block function not identified by public documents (architectures)
- I/O analysis with zoomed-in images of I/Os
- Average standard cell density and estimated gate count analysis
- Identification of digital blocks (where possible)
- IP vendors found on device (using public information)
