Layout Analysis – Embedded Memory
This report gives an overview of the memories on a die, reporting on the physical size, logical size, and cell size of the largest memory of each type, the largest memories overall on the chip, the most commonly used memory, and the smallest memory. Memory sizes are key indicators of architecture and processing power of a die, and have a large impact on die size and manufacturing cost.
These reports include the following detailed information:
- Package photographs
- Package x-ray
- Depot (bare die) die photo
- Die size measurements
- Annotated metal 1 or poly die photo showing the key memories on the die (both by type and size)
- Physical measurements of the key memories on the die
- Number of bits in each of the key memories on the die
- SEM plan-view image and size measurement of each type of memory cell at poly
